Some things are worth waiting for…

Traveling thousands of miles from home to enter college is the only way nineteen-year-old Avery Morgansten can escape what happened at the Halloween party five years ago—an event that forever changed her life. All she needs to do is make it to her classes on time, make sure the bracelet on her left wrist stays in place, not draw any attention to herself, and maybe—please God—make a few friends, because surely that would be a nice change of pace. The one thing she didn’t need and never planned on was capturing the attention of the one guy who could shatter the precarious future she’s building for herself.

Some things are worth experiencing…

Cameron Hamilton is six feet and three inches of swoon-worthy hotness, complete with a pair of striking blue eyes and a remarkable ability to make her want things she believed were irrevocably stolen from her. She knows she needs to stay away from him, but Cam is freaking everywhere, with his charm, his witty banter, and that damn dimple that’s just so… so lickable. Getting involved with him is dangerous, but when ignoring the simmering tension that sparks whenever they are around each other becomes impossible, he brings out a side of her she never knew existed.

Some things should never be kept quiet…

But when Avery starts receiving threatening emails and phone calls forcing her to face a past she wants silenced, she has no other choice but to acknowledge that someone is refusing to allow her to let go of that night when everything changed. When the devastating truth comes out, will she resurface this time with one less scar? And can Cam be there to help her or will he be dragged down with her?

And some things are worth fighting for…

I love the New Adult genre and Jennifer L. Armentrout is one of my favorite authors, so I had to read Wait for You. The book didn’t disappoint me. It was great, I really enjoyed it. Well, I didn’t expect anything else, because JLA’s stories are all great, but in the contemporary genre there are always a lot of books that start really good but then there’s some sort of turning point which ruins the whole book.

But Wait for you was awesome! It’s about Avery and Cameron, err … sorry, I meant Cam … (Yeah, well, I consider myself as a friend of him, so that’s why I call him Cam instead of Cameron xD) who met by accident (literally xD) at Avery’s first day at college. Avery just wanted to escape her life in Texas but she never thought about what she found in the small town at the other end of the United States.

The characters were really cool. I liked them from the very beginning. I just read the first chapter and I instantly knew that I would love the characters and the whole story ♥

Avery Morgansten is the female main character and the story is written from her point of view. She seemed like a ~normal girl who just graduated high school and wanted to get away from her parents. But there’s more. Much more. She escaped from her life in Texas to forget about what happened to her five years ago at a Halloween party. Through the book you find out what happened to her and how broken she really is. Avery found some really awesome friends, Brit and Jacob. Without them, I think Avery wouldn’t have lasted long. They helped her, and after a really long time Avery finally found some friends again.

But the person who helped her to get over the nightmare that happened to her was Cameron Hamilton.

WHAT. AN. AWESOME. GUY. I love every male character JLA creates but Cam is more than perfect. (Well, not perfect perfect … the other perfect LOL) And he’s often shirtless. And tattooed. (I should chance the subject because I’m drooling on my laptop LOL)

At first, Avery tries to resist Cam’s charming personality but he’s everywhere. Even in her apartment building. So, it’s very hard for her to resist and after a short time they became friends. Well, at this point of the book it’s very obvious that Avery actually wants more than friendship, but she doesn’t know what the reader knows.

There were a lot of things that made the characters (okay, I’m talking about Cam, but … yeah, there’s no but ^^) even more likeable. For example Cam’s pet turtle Raphael (I want one too!). Or his cookies and eggs (Yep, feel free to have naughty thoughts LOL).

I really enjoyed reading it but there were a few things that made me roll my eyes a few times … okay, a lot of times. But they have all to do with Avery’s story and talking about them would be very spoilery. So, if you want to know about it, feel free to ask! (Those are the reasons why the book doesn’t get a full 5-sheep rating)

Before I close this review, there’s one more thing I want to mention. The title. I asked myself half of the book why it was named Wait for You (Later in the book you will get the idea!). Just listen to this song and you’ll know: (Awesome song by Mumford & Sons)

And last but not least – and which I’m very happy about – there will be a follow up to Wait for You ♥ I can’t wait for it ♥
